DEDICATION OF NADEZDA PETROVIC STATUE

SUNDAY - AUGUST 19, 2018

The dedication of the bust of Nadežda Petrović took place at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at the Serbian Cultural Garden.   Nadežda Petrović was a Serbian painter from the late 19th and early 20th centuries and considered Serbia's most famous impressionist and fauvist.  She was the most important Serbian female painter of the period.  She was also the founder of the Serbian Circle of Sisters.

His Grace Bishop Irinej officiated the blessing of the statue accompanied by eight other members of the clergy.  Alex Machaskee was the Master of Ceremonies and the Kosovo Men’s Choir presented several choral selections.

Thank you to all who attended and to all who continue to support the Serbian Cultural Garden!
